Import Fees, Taxes, Duties and Tariffs
U.S. Customers: Due to current trade unpredictability and import tariffs on leather footwear, an $83.60 import fee is added to all U.S. orders. This covers required duties, taxes, and brokerage processing. It is included in the final shipping total to speed up delivery and prevent unexpected "payment-on-delivery" charges.
Worldwide Customers: Local duties and taxes may apply upon delivery. Turriff recommends checking your local import laws or reaching out to andrew@turriffshoes.com to estimate approximate costs before ordering.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Manufacturing and Material Defects Only
Turriff stands behind the craftsmanship of every pair. If the footwear experiences a defect in construction or materials, Turriff will ensure it is resolved.
Resolution Process: To ensure the most efficient resolution in the current global trade and shipping climate, Turriff reserves the right to determine the best method of repair:
1. Local Repair Credit: For minor issues where the structural integrity of the shoes remains intact (such as glue lifting or stitching touch-ups), Turriff will provide a credit to cover a professional repair by a local cobbler. This is the preferred method to avoid the risks and costs of international shipping.
Replacement or Store Credit: If a structural defect is deemed unfixable, Turriff will offer a replacement or store credit once the original pair has been returned and inspected.
What is not covered:
Normal Wear and Tear: Signs of use over time are expected and not considered defects.
Fit and Comfort: While Turriff offers extensive expert sizing support, the final fit is the customer's responsibility.
Misuse and Alterations: Issues caused by improper care or third-party alterations.
Natural Variations: Slight variations in leather colour or thickness are hallmarks of premium natural materials.
Exchanges and Returns Policy
Turriff prides itself on offering some of the best-fitting footwear available. If there are any questions regarding sizing, Turriff recommends asking for assistance before completing a purchase.
Timeline:
Customers must contact andrew@turriffshoes.com within 15 days of receiving an order to initiate an exchange or return.
Conditions for Return:
Shoes must be returned strictly unworn and in the original packaging.
"Unworn" is defined as having no scuff marks, no leather creasing, and no signs of outdoor use. Once a shoe has been put into active service, it is no longer eligible for return or exchange.
Items returned with signs of wear will be ineligible for a refund and will be returned to the sender at their cost.
Return and Exchange Process:
Contact: The customer must first initiate the process via email to andrew@turriffshoes.com.
Shipping: Turriff recommends using a Local Postal Service, not a courier, for all returns to avoid excessive brokerage fees.
Mandatory Documentation: To avoid unnecessary duties or taxes, the package must be clearly and boldly labeled with the following phrases:
"CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED"
OR
"CANADIAN GOODS, SIZING EXCHANGE"
OR
"CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED FOR WARRANTY REPAIR”
Inspection: Once Turriff receives and confirms the item meets all "unworn" criteria, a refund will be issued or the new size will be dispatched.
Important Notes:
Original shipping charges and U.S. Import Fees are non-refundable.
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping for both returns and sizing exchanges.
Customs Charges: Turriff is not responsible for duties or taxes incurred due to improper labeling by the sender. Packages received with undeclared duties or taxes may be refused or have those specific charges deducted from the final refund.
Restocking Fee: Turriff reserves the right to charge a $30 USD restocking fee for returned items to cover processing and handling.
Decisions regarding the condition of returned items are at the sole discretion of Turriff Shoes.
